Robert Dvorkin
Piano
Canadian pianist Robert Dvorkin was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. He began his piano studies at the age of nine. At the age of 11 he was accepted into the studio of University of Alberta professor Ernesto Lejano.
He continued his studies at the Indiana University School of Music, where he graduated with Bachelor and Master degrees in Piano Performance, studying with Enrica Cavallo-Gulli. He currently studies with Golandsky Institute co-founder John Bloomfield of New York City.
Mr. Dvorkin specializes in the music of Claude Debussy, and has played many recitals devoted to that composer’s output throughout the United States and Canada. Recent solo recitals have taken place in Ottawa, Kitchener-Waterloo, Edmonton, Vancouver, Victoria, Halifax, Middlebury VT, Newark DE, Berkeley CA, and New York City.
Mr. Dvorkin makes his home in Ottawa, where he manages a busy teaching studio. He is certified as an Instructor in the Taubman Approach by the Golandsky Institute, one of only three Canadians to be so-honored. For more information, please go to www.robertdvorkin.com.
